Introduction
Limit Submissions for Elementor Forms allows you to control how many times a user can submit an Elementor Pro Form within a specific time window.
This protects your forms from spam, abuse, duplicate submissions, repeated coupon claims, vote manipulation, and more.
The plugin supports limiting by:
- IP Address
- Logged-in User ID
- Email field inside the form

Install the Plugin
You can install the plugin in two ways:
Option A – Upload manually
- Download the plugin ZIP.
- Go to WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Select the ZIP file and click Install Now.
- Click Activate Plugin.
Option B – FTP upload
Click Activate.
Extract the plugin ZIP.
Upload the folder to: /wp-content/plugins/limit-submissions-for-elementor-forms/
Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
Add Limit Submissions to an Elementor Form
Step 1 — Open Elementor Editor
- Edit the page containing your form.
Step 2 — Select the Form Widget
- Click on the Elementor Form.
Step 3 — Go to “Actions After Submit”
Click the dropdown and choose: Limit Submissions
Step 4 — Configure Limit Submissions Action
You will see options depending on your plugin settings.
Typically:Choose Error Message
Select Limit Method (IP / Email / Logged-in User)Enter
Max SubmissionsEnter Time Window
Save and Test Your Form
Step 1 — Submit once
- The form will send normally.
Step 2 — Submit again within the time window
- The form will show an error: “You have reached the maximum allowed submissions.”
Step 3 — Wait until the time window expires
The user can submit again.
