What Data is Collected For Google Sheets Plugins?
We don’t store anything to our database. We just provide service for a user to authenticate to their account, connect to Google Sheet and store contact form submitted data.
Whereas fo Google Sheets Plugin we store files to “yeekit_google_sheets_tokens” directory on user own website server.
Scopes use for Google APIs
- …/auth/spreadsheets:
- This scope grants access to Google Sheets API, allowing the application to read, write, or modify data in Google Sheets documents that the user has access to.
- We use this scope to create new spreadsheets, read data from existing ones, update cell values, and perform other operations related to Google Sheets.
- …/auth/drive.metadata.readonly:
- This scope grants read-only access to file metadata in the user’s Google Drive using the Drive API.
- We use this scope to fetch the SpreadSheet name and Tab name and further display it to the user for selecting and saving data to the Sheet.
What Google user data is accessed?
We do not store or process any of your data on our servers. The plugin fetches the data via the API to display it on the plugin’s settings page and store it in your website’s database.
Basic Information – We fetch the user’s email address to display it and let them know with which Google Account they have authenticated.
Access Token – It is utilized to interact with Google services on behalf of the user, enabling sharing of content to the Google Sheet.
Sheet Details – While using the scope …/auth/drive.metadata.readonly we fetch the SpreadSheet Name, Id, Tab Name, and Id for further allowing users to select them for saving their data to the sheet.
We assure our users that we strictly adhere to Google’s policies regarding user data protection and privacy. The data accessed by our plugin is used solely to enable the sharing functionalities and is not shared with any third parties.
Users have the option to review and manage the permissions granted to our plugin through their Google account settings at any time.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. How long we retain your data
